This year our school has started work on a project within the Socrates Comenius programme together with three partner schools from Bulgaria, Lithuania and Malta.

These are:

- Bulgaria Sredno obshoobrazovatelno uchilishte Geo Milev from Varna in Bulgaria,
- Żygimanto Augusto pagrindine mokykla from the capital city of Lituania - Vilnius,
- St Francis Secondary School from Sliema in Malta.

      This is the title of the project done by our school together with the three partner schools.

      A guidebook with bicycle routes around regions where students live is going to be the result of the three-year project. Apart from the routes, the guidebook will also contain historical and geographical facts concerning the regions, and will be presented on project's website as well as published in a form of a brochure.

We plan to organize trips along the following routes:

      All students are going to participate in activities concerning creation of websites presenting their schools, regions and countries as well as publication of the guidebook.

      We also plan to visit partner schools. Between 15th-20th November we are hosting a meeting with a group of visitors from Bulgaria, Lithuania and Malta. During this visit we are going to show our guests not only Polish culture and art but also our country's traditions and cuisine. The visitors are going to learn a few facts about our town and region as well. For this purpose, in October, we held a contest for a trip presenting the most interesting places in our town and region among our students. The itinerary of the winning trip includes visits to museum in "Sztygarka" (sightseeing a mine) and castle in Będzin. Apart from sightseeing Dąbrowa Górnicza, our guests are also going to visit one of the most beautiful Polish cities - Kraków and Częstochowa. And in February and May we are going to Lithuania and Malta to visit our partners' schools, and admire the most beautiful sights in their countries.
